Great Plains Woodturners
I have always had a profound interest in wood crafting and have developed a passion for the true art of woodturning. I enjoy creating one-of-a-kind pieces using both domestic and exotic woods, often times combining them with other mediums such as turquoise and glass. I have an appreciation for the unique beauty in all species of wood from the chaos of burl to the richness of Cocobolo. Within my collection you will find a wide variety of pieces such as beautiful hollow-forms, vases and bowls as well as staple gift items such as candlesticks, wine bottle stoppers and pens. I am actively involved in the Loess Hills Woodturning Club and the Great Plains Woodturners Club as a member and demonstrator. I am also a member of the American Association of Woodturners.
My favorite wood to put on the lathe is either Buckeye Burl or Maple Burl.
