The American chestnut project came to it’s completion at  the December 20th meeting of the Great Plains Woodturners Club.   All members who received pieces of the chestnut wood, brought their completed turnings to the December Meeting.   Two representatives of the Arbor Foundation attended with Dr. Scott Josiah and after reviewing all of the pieces created from the American Chestnut wood we received,  they selected a Vase turned by Curt Norman and a Bowl turned by Theo Alles .  These pieces will be placed on permanent display at Arbor Lodge and the Nebraska Forest Service  Office.   This brings to a close our year long chestnut project.  I will post pictures of the entire collection when they become available.
